The Long Song

November 1 - 3 2019

A weekend for more experienced singers, where we tackle a longer, harmonically complex piece. There is a fascinating mix of classically trained, natural voice and folk singers lending their voices, so you can feel at home whatever your background.

There is also lots of time in front of the fire, with more familiar songs, old and new friends and fabulous food.

Felting and singing the spiral

November 15 - 17 2019

We will use the ancient craft of felting to explore making and our creativity.

As we share our stories and songs, we’ll search out the stone on the beach that fits the palm and work the wool, with layers of lace and silk as needed.

There will be opportunities to both wet and nuno felt and according to the weather we will enjoy time in front of the fire or walking the spiral in the garden.

This is a two day, fully catered workshop, arriving Friday and leaving on Sunday afternoon.

Solstice yoga day

21 December 2019

10.30 - 4.30

Equinox: A point of equanimity and ease, light and dark poised in balance.

After the success of the Ingathering day for the autumn equinox, we are doing something similar for the winter solstice.

The day pass of £40 allows you to attend sessions according to your interests, mixing challenge, contemplation and experimentation. There is soup and cake for lunch and we hope to have some therapists offering one to one consultations too.

We have another brilliant group of practitioners from Scotland offering sessions throughout the day, their biographies are below.

We have accommodation for about 25 and more space for dining and workshops, with lots of flexibility and breakout space.

Accomodation: Precious minerals

We took the inspiration for our bedrooms from the names and colours of precious minerals, so you might find yourself sleeping in Amber, Seastone, Carmine or Peridote. In all there are seven bedrooms on the first floor of the main house and four bathrooms. There are sea views, central heating and all the eccentricities of a country mansion.

Our 6 studios are next to the main house, each one with an ensuite bathroom, central heating and good views.

You can hire our space

The house and grounds are a stage on which you can create your own weekend event or workshop. Indicative prices are here, but do contact us if you want to chat things through.

We can source, prepare and cook for you or set things up so you can do this independently. We also run food events on sustainability under the banner of GRUB.

There is a separate 120m2 hall with an oak sprung floor, wood burning stove and original crittal windows. The acoustics are excellent.

We sleep up to 25 in a range of rooms in the main house and studios in the grounds.

Kilcreggan House

Built by wealthy Glasgow merchants, the house was used as a Christian retreat for many years and was known as a place where you could get “closer to God.” After a period of neglect, we are breathing new chic into its grand shabbiness, renewing the services and replanting the garden.

Our basic aim is to make people`s hearts sing through sharing the place, having adventures and new learnings through workshops and events and feeding a deeper sense of community for ourselves and others.
